Worship team auditions

We’re so thankful for all that God is doing in and through our worship ministry here at CHC, and are excited to present the opportunity to partner with you to serve Jesus through music. We encourage you to read through the Worship Ministry Handbook prior to auditioning.  A link is provided below.

Requirements

  • Must already be or willing to become a member of CHC
  • Must agree with the Worship Team Guidelines (doctrinal stance, set apart living, etc.)
  • Must be able to play to a click track (metronome) and stems
  • If you are auditioning for keys, you must be familiar with MIDI and software-based synths
  • If you are auditioning for electric guitar, you must be familiar with the modern worship genre and have a modern worship setup (ambient, reverb, Big Sky, etc.). If you do not have a modern setup, we will provide you with it
  • Must be able to play melodically (not just playing root/cowboy chords, no guitar shredding, no bar chords unless the song calls for it)
  • Must be willing to  practice how the song is played with minimal or appropriate variation from the original parts
  • Must attend weekly practices immediately following Prayer & Praise services on Wednesday evenings
  • Must be willing to practice to be prepared for services outside of team practice times

HOW TO AUDITION

Phase 1- Video Auditions

The first phase of auditions is to submit a video recording of yourself through email. We accept all auditions via video submissions. If you would like to audition for multiple instruments, you will need to submit separate videos for each. See below for song selections

*We are not currently auditioning for vocalists

Phase 2- Live Auditions

Our worship committee will decide if we will continue on to Phase Two of the audition process. 
• Live Auditions will be invitation only.
• We will email those who we would like to see audition live.
• Live auditions will be scheduled on an individual basis.

Audition video requirements

• Please start your video by telling us  your experience leading worship and where you've led before.

• Please provide your video by emailing it to chcworship@hotmail.com.

• Videos from live worship are acceptable if you are clearly heard and seen.
