CHC Cookbook | DUE TODAY - 2/19

We are creating a church cookbook as a fundraiser for our women's ministry!

To submit a recipe, drop your recipe card off at the Info Center. The deadline is TODAY, February 19th. (Extended due last week's weather closure.)

DIRECTIONS:
  • Put your contact info on the back of the card.
  • You are permitted to submit multiple recipes.
  • Use a 4x6 or 5x7 index card.
  • To avoid duplicates, you may be asked to submit an alternative recipe.
  • Please handwrite the cards & print legibly. The actual card you submit will be included in the book.
The cookbooks will be available for purchase on May 4th in the Atrium.

Worship Night | THIS FRIDAY @ 7p

Ladies! Wear your red or pink and come ready to worship with us at our A Beautiful Thing Worship Night this Friday, February 21! Our beloved First Lady, Joyce Harney, will be teaching on praise.

Doors open at 6:30p for a photo op, Crumbl cookies, and a hot chocolate bar. Service starts at 7p. This event is open to ladies of all ages. Invite your friends and be in prayer for this service!

tHis Way Kids event | RESCHEDULED!

On MARCH 9th, we are FINALLY going to kick-off something we're calling "tHis Way Kids Overtime." This event will be held 3 times a year in 2025: February, June, & September.

Parents will have the option to leave their kids in the back after second service. We will be serving them lunch, sing "camp style" music, teach a bonus lesson, separated activities/games by grades, & a craft.

Kids will stay after 11a service until 2:30p. This will be for grades K-5th. This is not available for preschool.

Inclement Weather Process | Please Read

Unfortunately, this is the time of year when the weather can affect our plans! The safety of our congregation & staff is at the heart of every inclement weather decision. There are many factors that are prayerfully considered, such as driving conditions, parking lot conditions, timing, etc. It is never taken lightly.

Spreading news of cancelations is certainly top priority in these instances. Updates will be shared in the following ways:
  • Facebook & Instagram social media post
  • Temporary banner on CHC website
  • CHC App notification
  • Message on CHC's automated voice message (Call (937) 600-6912)

Check out the locations for the Bridge young adults group. All gatherings start at 6p. They're currently studying 1 Corinthians.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED AT ASTORIA NURSING HOME

Our nursing home leaders, Jeff & Kate Billhimer, are doing so amazing at Astoria Nursing Home in Germantown! We're grateful for their faithfulness & the love they show the residents there. It takes a lot of time & help to serve them well. So they need more volunteers! Jeff & Kate would be so happy to take you under their wing & show you how they run the ministry there!

The phone transition is going really well!

I just wanted to update everyone because I know our phone process change was a big one. It's going really well! Thank you so much for all your support & cooperation.

Just a couple reminders:
  • There is a fact sheet available for pick up at the InfoCenter with details on processes.
  • You can text the number just like you would any other number - (937) 600-6912
  • Calls or messages sent during onsite office hours should be replied to within the hour. Outside onsite office hours, replies will be delayed but should be responded to within 24 hours.
  • Onsite Office Hours:
    • Sunday: 8:15-1p
    • Monday: 9a-4p
    • Tuesday: 9a-4p
    • Wednesday: 4-8p (due to evening services)
    • Thursday: 9a-4p
    • Friday & Saturday: CLOSED

Middle Age Life Group Event | 3/1 @ 7:10p

Join the Middle Age Life Group at Wild Axe Throwing in Beavercreek on March 1 at 7:10p. Cost is $32 per person. Please arrive 15 minutes early and wear closed toe shoes. Food will be provided, but drinks must be purchased at the facility. Space is limited so sign up soon at the Info Center!

Sunday Night Bible Study | Each Sunday @ 6p

The men's & women's Bible studies are meeting every Sunday evening. They've added a fellowship opportunity at 5:30, with class starting at 6p.
